Anti-immigration rally

Saturday, March 25

I usually don't like to post photos I don't take . But the above photo by La OPinion, I am posting , That is Gil Cedillo in the middle. A man who has done much to fight for the rights of immigrants.
In this photo_ after you enlarge it by clicking on it- you can see the marchers al the way on Hill Street

Tio Sam with his slave

I went be a part of the March today Downtown. I thought I was late . It was already after 10:30 when I left my small abode to the MArch.

Remembering the Anti-War Marches I assumed that by the Time I got to Broadway it would be over. Instead, as I approached the intersection of Spring Street and 5th Street it became only obvious that the protestors were coming up spring street and had spilled onto Spring from Broadway. Once closer to 1st Street it became obvious that Hill Street had also been taken over for the MArch.

The Local Mainstream Media is saying at first it was 100,000 MArchers , now they are saying it is over 500,000. The truth is that PIOLIn said it was over 1 million MArchers.

I lost my SD Card. So I don't have the pictures of the MArch I took while walking from Broadway to 4th street . So the pictures start on Spring and 3rd .

We ran into a roadblock once we got to 3rd Steet and everyone had to move in the Direction of Broadway.

Here you are on the intersection of 1st street and Broadway looking West. LOt's of people coming from Hill.

This is where I ran into tio Sam and his slave on Broadway between first and temple, then I decided to go higher and just take pictures from the hill on the COunty Property.

This photo below of the people carrying the flag is the most symbolic of what is actually hapening in this country. How these immigrants are actually carrying our country , how they pay taxes and don't even get anything back , but they pay taxes, their children - American citizens, volunteering for King Georges War and yet while their children are off bringing democracy to another country their parent's can't even get a driver's license and if this legiislation passes these young men and women in the armed services - American citizens- will come home to find thier parents labeled as felons.

Though it may seem counter-intuitive, open immigration is the only way to secure the border.

Today, many american citizens ignore the undocumented status of aliens, becase they assume that those aliens are honest folk who simply want to make a living. If the US lets such folk in legally, with proper documentation, people would know that any other undocumented people are not kosher.

Imagine that no honest person would want to cross into the US illegally. As a consequence, citizens would readily report the few crooks who do. The only way to make the border safe is to allow for a large amounts of well-controlled, legal immigration. The only other way I can think of is to make Mexico the 51st state, and then patrol their -- much shorter -- southern border.

To my mind, the main change should be to grant amnesty to the 11 million Mexicans who are here, and then allow about 2 million to come over legally every year. The consequence of this will be to make the U.S. a safer place.
i think they should not be felons, but depending on the amount of time they have been here, make them take the test and give them citizenship. why go to any country illigaly and not legaly then expect the same rights? The children of these are going to suffer. why not think ahead and apply for legal immigaration. think about your children, will they be better off withou you because you were in good heartiness thinking about a better life, but did it in the wrong way; and now you have to be separated. they need to think things through. for example would it be fair to the ones who have come here legally and did the right things to give up all they strived for, for the people that have come here to steal and not be legal? not right in my opinion. I am saying I think it is right to stop all the illigals. Make them come over here legal. they would me if I wanted to move to England or Canada or any other country. They would want my papers and passport, wouldn't they? what makes these people different?

2 million a year? At that rate America would no longer be a melting pot and instead be a pot of pozole! That would be no bueno!
